2010 Start! Greenville Heart Walk
8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

More than an event, the Start! Heart Walk is an experience. The event brings the Greenville South Carolina Heart Walk community together to raise funds to fight the nation’s No. 1 and No. 3 killers — heart disease and stroke. In addition to the 1- or 3-mile walk, the Create Hope, Inspire Change and Celebrate Success areas will:

  • Pay tribute to lost loved ones;
  • Honor survivors of heart disease and stroke;
  • Encourage behavior changes in adults and children like increasing physical activity and making heart-healthy choices part of daily life;
  • Highlight the successful fundraising efforts of individuals and companies;
  • Celebrate individuals and companies who have made significant changes to lead a heart-healthy life.

Together as a community, we raised more than $450,000 for the 2009 Heart Walk and had approximately 4,000 people in attendance, fighting heart disease and stroke and exercising their hearts.
