    TD Gallery

    The main entrance into Innovation Place is through a glass gallery that also serves as an informal welcome lobby. The TD Gallery is a flexible space with the ability to support functions of various sizes, social events and public gatherings. With an inviting, open floor plan, the gallery is also designed with glass doors capable of opening wide enough for an automobile to enter from the plaza for public display or presentation.

    CU-ICAR Plaza

    The CU-ICAR plaza area serves as the main gathering space and public entrance for Technology Neighborhood I. Located on about two acres, the plaza blends both vehicular and pedestrian traffic into a seamless urban environment.

  • Innovation Place Roof Garden

    Innovation Place Roof Garden

    One of the first roof gardens in Greenville, this space offers an elevated view of the entire CU-ICAR campus. Surrounded by a gravel walking path and native plant life, there is shaded seating for nine.

    The small conference room is located on the fourth floor of the CU-ICAR Partnership Office.

  • Carroll A. Campbell Jr. Graduate Engineering Center

    Carroll A. Campbell Jr. Graduate Engineering Center

    The 90,000-square-foot graduate building houses the automotive engineering graduate program and is the center for systems integration research activities as well as faculty, student, staff offices and conference facilities. The industry-focused and interdisciplinary program utilizes facilities that include full vehicle and engine/powertrain testing. In addition, visiting industry partner offices and visiting faculty offices provide comfortable space for our partners.

    AT&T Auditorium

    A critical component  of an exciting research campus, devoted to the automotive industry, is a place where the industry can meet, make important connections and network.  The AT&T Auditorium holds 292 guests and is equipped with state-of-the art AV, lighting and other amenities.  This venue creates a unique environment for collaboration and is a favored location on the CU-ICAR campus for industry events of all kinds.

    The CGEC includes a large gallery/atrium space that serves as the main building’s lobby. This area may be used for vehicle displays and social functions.

  • CGEC Amphitheatre

    CGEC Amphitheatre

    The Technology Neighborhood I Amphitheatre is found beside the Carroll A. Campbell Jr. Graduate Engineering Center at the heart of Technology Neighborhood I. The amphitheatre is a terraced outdoor open space capable of seating hundreds for an event or simply enjoying a spring day in the Upstate. The amphitheatre’s northern edge is defined by the sweeping pedestrian ramp leading up to the second floor lobby of the Campbell Center. The southern edge has a large exterior wall of the Campbell Center grand auditorium and is suitable to function as a video screen if a large outdoor presentation is desired.

  • AutoPark

    AutoPark

    The CU-ICAR AutoPark accommodates parking for about 1,200 cars. Located at the core of Technology Neighborhood I, the AutoPark provides a central parking location for all CU-ICAR employees, partners, visitors and students.

  • St. Francis VRUM Fitness Center

    St. Francis VRUM Fitness Center

    Health and fitness are extremely important aspects of a well-rounded community. Overlooking the picturesque plaza below, the VRUM Fitness Center provides convenient access for all CU-ICAR employees and partners interested in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Located on the second floor of Innovation Place, the fitness center contains strength-training, stretching and cardiovascular fitness equipment as well as a changing facility.
